Garage block could be demolished to make way for bungalows

PLANS have been lodged to demolish a set of dilapidated garages in Annitsford to make way for new housing.

North Tyneside Council, in partnership with garage-to-house specialists Husk and Edwards Architecture, has proposed the razing of two garage blocks off Wardle Drive.
The blocks are said to be in a state of disrepair and are currently attracting antisocial behaviour.
In their place, pending approval, the council seeks to construct two bungalows for the elderly.
