Fell urges players to be brave on another historic occasion
The Journal
|September 06, 2025
GAVIN Fell is relishing another historic moment as Blyth Town prepare to visit Newton Aycliffe this afternoon for their first ever FA Trophy tie.
-
The Gateway Park club have experienced a rapid rise up the non-league pyramid with three promotions in five seasons taking them from the Northern Alliance's top tier into the Northern Premier League East Division.
Town's introduction to life in the fourth tier of the non-league game has been difficult with Fell's side yet to rack up a first league win in their opening six games of the campaign.
A visit to Aycliffe will provide another challenging moment for Fell and his players and the Town boss has stressed his players have to be at 100% if they are to progress in the competition.
