Expanding law practice moves into bigger base

NORTH East law firm Cooklaw Solicitors has expanded into new premises at Sunderland Enterprise Park.

The business was previously based on Sunderland’s Frederick Street and says the move is intended to drive growth with new recruits set to join this year.

As part of the ambitious firm's expansion plans, the Cooklaw team has recruited director Ruth Markham, who is responsible for Cooklaw’s newest team, specialising in clinical negligence, personal injury, and litigation.

The team are said to have a wealth of experience in the field and a number of successful cases over the past 18 years - including a £7m settlement for a client who suffered significant brain damage.
