PROPOSALS to transform a heritage building in South Shields into flats are set to be considered by councillors in the coming week.

South Tyneside Council's Planning Committee will examine and decide upon an application concerning 11 Beach Road in the town, close to South Shields Town Hall.
Property developer Beaumont and Partners Ltd lodged original proposals last year requesting consent to alter the use of the Grade II-listed structure from commercial offices to nine flats.
