Cocaine, cash and cars seized

COCAINE, cash, mobile phones and cars were seized as part of a police crackdown which saw six people arrested in South Tyneside.
This followed a series of raids on Wednesday during a Northumbria Police day of focussed activity.
Warrants were executed at two addresses in Jarrow while the force's neighbourhood officers and mounted section were also patrolling as part of Operation Coastwatch. Additionally, trading standards officers seized illegal cigarattes and vapes.
Police officers from the Metro unit were deterring anti-social behaviour on the transport network. In total, six men were arrested on suspicion of offences including drug possession, dangerous driving and assault. Two remain in custody, one has been released on bail, and three released under investigation.
