Climate tech firm half way to £125k investment target

A CLIMATE technology startup in the North East has secured around £125,000 of pre-seed investment.
Mutha Cuva, which has been founded by entrepreneur Amy Mooney, aims to tackle the lack of reliable aftercare for low-carbon heating systems.
It has secured 50% of its £250,000 pre-seed raise just weeks after launch, with a number of regional investors backing its plan to build a national servicing network for heat pumps.
It is thought that the UK faces a shortfall of around 20,000 engineers to service heat pumps.
Mutha Cuva’s platform offers automated bookings, remote monitoring and Al-powered engineer support for any model of heat pump model.
