Big home improvements are needed for the Heed

GATESHEAD manager Alun Armstrong has set his sights on improving his side’s dismal home record as they meet Solihull Moors at the International Stadium.
The Heed have endured a week of mixed fortunes after their stunning FA Cup first round win at League One promotion contenders AFC Wimbledon was followed up by a 4-0 league defeat at York City on Wednesday.
The loss at the LNER Community Stadium ended a run of three games without a defeat on the road for the Heed - but it is at the International Stadium where they have struggled this season.
A brace from on-loan Doncaster Rovers youngster Will Flint gave Gateshead a 2-1 win against Tamworth in their second home game of the season after fixtures on their own patch had kicked off with a comprehensive 3-0 loss against Southend United two weeks earlier.
