PLANS for a major extension to the Integra 61 development that could bring hundreds of new jobs to the North East have been submitted.

The scheme in County Durham - which already includes a huge Amazon warehouse and distribution centre - could be extended to add a further three million square feet of employment space.

A planning application from developers Citrus Durham says the £340m next phase of the development includes proposals for a range of storage, distribution and manufacturing units of varying sizes to reflect market demand from regional businesses, as well as those looking to invest in premises in the region.
