A68 closed after serious collision

THE A68 was closed in both directions in Northumberland after a collision between an HGV, a car and a quad bike.

The road was shut between the South Farm turnoff at Colwell and the Hexham and Chollerford junction for the the A6079/B6342 at around 10.30am yesterday and motorists were urged to avoid the area if possible.
