RACHEL Reeves was spotted knocking on doors in a Newcastle suburb over the weekend.
The Labour Chancellor hit the campaign tail on Saturday, alongside North East Mayor Kim McGuinness and Newcastle North MP Catherine McKinnell, ahead of a by-election in the South Jesmond ward next month.
Ms Reeves was seen on doorsteps in Sandyford, also accompanied by Deputy City Council leader Alex Hay and Northumbria Police and Crime Commissioner Susan Dungworth, and dining at the popular Aidan’s Kitchen cafe in Starbeck Avenue.
