Trump brags for the 37th time in 19 weeks: “I stopped a possible India-Pakistan nuclear war!”

|August 28, 2025
United States President Donald Trump has bragged for the 36th time in the last 19 weeks that he stopped a possible nuclear war between India and Pakistan in May this year.
Claiming intervention in the India-Pakistan conflict yet again in Washington on Monday, he revised the number of downed jets to seven and asserted that he was the one who prevented a potential nuclear war.
Trump said trade leverage was used to halt the conflict, though he didn't specify which country's jets were shot down.
This follows reports of India destroying Pakistani aircraft after retaliatory strikes on terrorist camps. Trump’s fresh statement comes just days after he said "six or seven planes came down" during the crisis.
“I have stopped all of these wars. A big one would have been India and Pakistan,” Trump said during a bilateral meeting with the South Korean President.
