Opposition finalising complaints to be submitted to CPA and IPU against Speaker

The SJB-led opposition parties are finalising drafts of complaints to be lodged with the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association and the Inter-Parliamentary Union against Speaker Dr. Jagath Wickremeratne.
Sources said that the complaints would cite a range of charges, including bias towards the government, acting contrary to the Constitution, disregarding Standing Orders of Parliament, preventing the Leader of the Opposition, the Chief Opposition Whip and other Opposition MPs from expressing t
