Maldives amends laws to ban entry of Israeli visitors

The Maldives has officially amended its immigration laws to ban Israeli passport holders from entering the country, in a strong political move protesting Israel's ongoing military actions in Gaza, foreign agency reports said yesterday.

The amendment was passed by Parliament on Monday and swiftly ratified by President Mohamed Muizzu on Tuesday, according to a statement issued by the President's Office.
