HNB General Insurance and Union Bank forge strategic bancassurance partnership

HNB General Insurance (HNBGI) has joined hands with Union Bank through a strategic bancassurance agreement, marking a significant milestone in expanding access to innovative insurance solutions.

The partnership will enable Union Bank customers to conveniently obtain HNBGI's comprehensive range of general insurance products, including both motor and non-motor insurance solutions, through the bank’s extensive network.
The agreement was formally signed at Union Bank’s Head Office, with HNB General Insurance CEO, Sithumina Jayasundara, and Union Bank Director/CEO, Dilshan Rodrigo, represent- ing their respective institutions. Also in attendance were senior officials from HNB General Insurance, along with Kasun De Silva — Head of Deposit Mobilization / Assistant VP, Chaya Jayawardena — SVP Retail Banking, and Dasun Siriwardena — Head of Bancassurance from Union Bank.
