Govt. to launch countrywide drug and crime eradication operation on Thursday

A countrywide crime eradicaton operation, “Nation United - National Drive,” is set to commence this Thursday (30) under the patronage of Public Security Minister Ananda Wijepala.
The national operation, which will officially be launched at 10 am at the Sugathadasa Stadium, in Colombo, aims to strengthen coordinated efforts against drug trafficking and related criminal activities across the country. The initiative will be jointly implemented by the National Council on Drug Abuse, district and regional councils, and public security committees, the Minister said.
