700 public services to be available on WhatsApp from 15 August in Andhra Pradesh

As many as 700 different public services will be provided through the Mana Mitra (Our Friend) WhatsApp Governance platform in Andhra Pradesh from 15 August. This will enable citizens to access services without visiting government offices.
This was announced by Andhra Pradesh’s techno-savvy Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu during a review meeting at the Real Time Governance Society (RTGS) in Amaravati on Monday.
The State’s 55 million have 82 million mobile phones. Of these, around 67 million are internet subscribers. This means, almost all adults in the State have access to WhatsApp.
