TOWN BOSS BEMOANS LACK OF CONSISTENCY AFTER FAILING TO WIN IN THEIR LAST FOUR OUTINGS, WRITES STEPHEN PAGE

- STEPHEN PAGE

HUDDERSFIELD Town boss Lee Grant acknowledges that there has been “too much inconsistency” in his side’s recent results and performances as the Terriers look to get back to winning ways against Wigan Athletic this lunchtime.

Town host the 11th-placed Latics at the Accu Stadium today in a 12.30pm kickoff, in what is the Terriers’ seventh and final match of a hectic three-week period in their schedule. In their last six matches in all competitions, Grant's side have registered two victories, two draws and two defeats, leaving them winless in their last four League One outings.

Town sit eighth in the division heading into today's clash, on 27 points from 19 matches played, with the Terriers currently four points outside the playoff places.

Looking ahead to his side's next encounter, Grant said at his pre-match press conference: "The job is week by week and game by game, so we have to focus on the next opponent, and we have to focus on the things that will allow us to be successful in that game, and build.
