Wallace says squad depth is key in heavy fixture run

Murray Wallace and Marcus Harness challenge Lincoln's Freddie Draper during the Vertu Trophy tie at Sincil Bank earlier this month

Town defender Murray Wallace has stressed the need for his side to “stay fit and be available” as they head towards the Christmas period. The Terriers have had a stretched squad over recent months, with Town currently having seven long-term absentees. With Ryan Ledson unavailable through suspension, and Lynden Gooch and Ruben Roosken both ill, Town were again into double figures for sidelined players for Tuesday's 1-1 draw at Northampton Town.

Wallace has himself recently recovered from a foot injury, which kept him sidelined for two months of the campaign, and the defender expressed his eagerness to remain involved upon his return, particularly at this time of the season.

The Terriers face their seventh game in a three-week spell at home to Wigan Athletic tomorrow, while next weekend's clash away to Rotherham United is the first of five matches in a 16-day period.
