TRIBUTES PAID FOLLOWING DEATH OF 16-YEAR-OLD ALFIE

Alfie Firth's death was confirmed by his close family
TRIBUTES have been paid by friends and family of Slaithwaite teenager Alfie Firth who tragically passed away at just 16 years old.
The circumstances of the teen's death are yet unknown, but his death on September 13, was announced earlier this month by his devastated family.
Tributes have been paid to the beloved teen by a number of his favourite clubs in public obituaries - including Golcar United AFC, of whom he was a “dedicated supporter”. Taking to Facebook, the club pledged to donate all of the gate receipts from last Saturday's (September 20) match to Alfie’s family to help with funeral costs.
The Facebook tribute read: “It is with great sadness that we learned of the passing of our friend, Alfie Firth, last week. Alfie and his dad were dedicated supporters of the club and attended almost every home, away, reserve team, and ladies’ match.
