Scarecrow show will be outstanding in its field

A VILLAGE is holding an Easter scarecrow festival after the success of last year's event.
The theme for the event at Scapegoat Hill will be Children's Books and already village residents are busy applying the finishing touches to their scarecrows.
There will be more than 40 around the village to find.
They include characters from Harry Potter, the BFG, Postman Pat, Little Red Riding Hood, Peter Rabbit, Mr Men, The Gruffalo, James And The Giant Peach, The Smeds and the Smooze, Fantastic Mr Fox and several Marvel characters.
Last year's Disney-themed event attracted hundreds of visitors to the village and organisers are hoping for a repeat performance as they raise funds for new play equipment at Scapegoat Hill Junior and Infant School. The event begins today until Easter Monday.
