Residents rally to raise money for postman in crash horror

The scene of the crash in Crosland Moor last month

LOCAL people are raising money for a postman after he was badly injured when he was run over by his own van.

The driver, a man in his 50s, was taken to hospital with serious injuries on Monday, December 29, after he was struck by the Royal Mail van on Blackmoorfoot Road at Crosland Moor, Huddersfield.

The runaway van was stopped from rolling further down the hill by a driver in a Ford Ka.

Supporters of the Crosland Moor Community Group are rallying round to raise £1,000 for the popular postman.
