TEACHER SAYS SHE WAS TARGETED BY HOSTILE DOG WALKER

- By LILLIAN RACE

AN English teacher says she was left "feeling like a criminal" after a walk in Huddersfield's Beaumont Park ended in confrontation.

Rhiannon, from Huddersfield, went to the park with the intention of collecting a small posy of colourful leaves and twigs to take to her mother in Middlesbrough, who lives with Alzheimer's disease.

"My mum doesn't always remember what time of year it is," Rhiannon said.

"So I do this to signify the changing of the seasons."

Rhiannon doesn’t get to Beaumont Park as often these days, spending half the week in the North East caring for her mother. When she does, she says the walk feels meditative and is glad to see the park looking so well kept after once remembering it in "disarray".
