House that Mark built serves up real taste of tradition

PEOPLE TRAVEL FROM ACROSS AREA FOR TAVERN IN MARKET
A BAR tucked away in a traditional West Yorkshire market hall is pulling in punters from across the North from Huddersfield to Hebden Bridge.
The Market Tavern bar can be found in Todmorden's Victorian indoor market hall and on some days can be packed out with around 100 drinkers.
Run by Mark Arrowsmith and his partner Sue Landale, the "Tod Tavern" started off as a fairly compact bar but has since extended into an adjacent market stall.
Mark and Sue used to run The House That Jack Built, a pub situated on Burnley Road in Todmorden.
Mark's aim was to make the Market Tavern as close to a traditional pub as he could, within the confines of an historic market hall.
