GRAND style!... Ex-skipper Clarke's 1000th appearance

FORMER Huddersfield Town captain Peter Clarke made his 1000th senior appearance on Tuesday evening.
The 43-year-old brought up the milestone in Northern Premier League Premier Division side Prescot Cables’ FA Trophy tie against Lancaster City, with his team progressing to the first round proper of the competition with a 2-0 victory at Valerie Park.
Clarke made 224 of those appearances in a five-year spell with Town between 2009 and 2014, with the centre-back leading the Terriers to promotion from League One in 2012.
The defender started out at Everton and has featured for 13 different clubs in his career to date, including the likes of Blackpool, Southend United, Oldham Athletic and Tranmere Rovers.
