Former Town forward Stead leaves Rovers

FORMER Huddersfield Town forward Jon Stead has left his role as Bristol Rovers' assistant head coach.
The ex-Terriers striker was relieved of his duties alongside head coach Darrell Clarke following the League Two outfit's 3-0 home loss to Swindon Town on Saturday, which was the club's tenth straight defeat in the division.
Stead had two spells with the Terriers after coming through the club's academy, netting 27 goals in 100 first-team appearances across stints between 2002 and 2004, and 2013 to 2015.
