RESIDENTS SAY DEVELOPMENT WILL DETRACT FROM NEIGHBOURHOOD
A HOUSING development plan has been branded “bonkers” by Kirklees villagers who fear its potential impacts on the area.
The application seeks planning permission to construct four homes on a plot of land adjacent to 185 Woodhead Road, Holmbridge, and is awaiting a decision from Kirklees Council.
The site is described as being vacant and overgrown with plants and weeds. A target date for a decision to be made by the local authority has been set for October 13.
Planning permission was granted for a residential development in the same spot back in 2021 but this never materialised.
