We can all achieve more than we think

TWO hundred marathons, two hundred days, two storms and seven pairs of trainers later, Steve James arrived back at Topsham Quay at 3pm last Saturday.
-
He'd run the entire coastline of mainland Britain.
For those who were away the day they did geography at school, that’s 5,240 miles. Oh, and I should add along the way he hit 66 and became a state pensioner!
Well, it had poured most of the morning but, as the saying goes, “The sun shines on the righteous” and as Steve rounded the corner from the High Street to the Quay, to meet family and friends who'd supported him on his extraordinary journey, the sun broke through!
I was surprised at how emotional I felt given that I was only there as a ‘friend of a friend’ of the family, and came to hear about Steve quite late on in his undertaking. But as soon as I did I made sure I followed him on Facebook regularly and just had to tell his story on my Boom Radio show, as I knew he would be an inspiration to the listeners.
