Vote for Reform - and get third class Tories

HOW has it come to this? After 14 years of disastrous Tory government and ever increasing amounts of immigration which, with two faces, the Conservatives talked tough on the subject while doing absolutely nothing about the hundreds of thousands coming in through legal migration routes they controlled.

- Paul Whiteley

Immigrants were allowed in a vain and ultimately futile attempt at making the macro economic statistics look better, which an increasing population always does.

The incompetent Tories messed even that up, by trying to use immigration to undercut UK wages, which meant training and employment for UK citizens became harder, further exacerbating the UK skills shortage.

Now we finally have a Labour Government but one that is sadly split over the problem - those on the intellectual left, who believe we should have an open door, especially to those driven out at home by violence and oppression, and those ordinary, working class left wingers who are in fact the ones being most squeezed in terms of pressure on wages, housing, medical care, schools etc. What hurts most is that people are now being squeezed by many immigrants that have little or no intention of trying to fit in with what it means to be British. That this has happened is clearly a failure of politicians who clearly do not understand how ordinary people think. Or was it a deliberate policy decision to get the working classes angry and directed towards the EU ensuring Brexit happened?
