Two glasses of fizz & some nibbles, please!
The Herald
|May 12, 2025
I'VE been at it again. “Print and Sip,” the leaflet said, “A fun evening learning an easy printing skill with artist Deborah Irwin making some beautiful botanical prints to take away.”
If there were any doubt in my mind, the next few words sealed it.
“No experience necessary, all materials provided, including two glasses of fizz and nibbles!”
That, and the added information that a contribution from the pro ceeds would go to our village orchard. Given that it was just down the lane in the local Memorial Hall, I thought it was an offer I couldn't refuse. Well, there’s only so many times a gal can sit in on Friday night and watch Midsomer Murders.
Besides, it might provide a chapter in my mystery murder book... if ever I decide to write one. Believe me, I've seen enough action in the Memorial Hall, from meetings to Save the Post Office to buying shares in the Village Shop.
