Travellers used park 'as a toilet'

RESIDENTS' DISGUST AFTER FAECES LEFT
RESIDENTS were urged by Plymouth council chiefs to contact the police after concerns were raised over human excrement and litter at Mutley Park.
Travellers set up an unauthorised encampment at the park over the Bank Holiday weekend and staff at Plymouth City Council issued them a 24-hour Notice to Quit on Tuesday, May 6. This expired and the council was then forced to apply to the court for a Notice of Possession.
However, despite the council providing toilets and waste bins, as per their legal requirements, residents and users of the park began to angrily highlight their growing concerns about human waste and rubbish being dumped in undergrowth.
