matchday squad. You are right to make note of Alex Mitchell returning as well. That's a huge boost to us.”

Goalkeeper Conor Hazard (Northern Ireland), defender Brendan Galloway (Zimbabwe) and on-loan Middlesbrough midfielder Law McCabe have all returned from their international call-ups and without any injury issues.

Cleverley said: “I'm really thrilled we are represented on an international stage. I would never be kicking myself we have got too many internationals. I love it when our lads get called up. Just as long as they return fit and healthy, which they have.”

Meanwhile, Argyle attacking player Xavier Amaechi still has ‘five or six weeks more to go’ with his rehabilitation from a significant hamstring injury.

The 24-year-old is about halfway through his recovery from the injury which he suffered in training before the away League One game against Cardiff City at the end of August.

Argyle posted a short video clip on their official X (formerly Twitter) account on Tuesday of Amaechi doing some very light running at the Harper's Park training ground.
