SW Water is issued with court summons

SOUTH West Water have been issued a court summons following an investigation into the major parasite outbreak in the water supply in Brixham last year.
More than 100 cases of Cryptosporidiosis caused sickness and diarrhoea to residents in Brixham in May 2024.
Now, the Drinking Water Inspectorate announced that South West Water Limited has been issued a court summons for prosecution for potential offences under section 70(1) of the Water Industry act 1991.
The summons is listed on October 2 2025 before Exeter Magistrates' Court.
