LANDLADY'S LIFE TOASTED AT SPECIAL GIG
A SPECIAL musical event is to take place in Plymouth this week to celebrate the life of one of the city's most cherished pub landladies.
Suzi Mooney (née Doyle) died recently and her family and friends will toast her extraordinary life with an event at one of the pubs she worked at: Kitty O'Hanlons in the city centre.
The leader of popular Plymouth folk rock band Mad Dog Mcrea will play at the event on Wednesday from 2pm, November 12, and everyone is welcome to attend.
Suzi's son Guy Rudler-Doyle said: "Kitty's current owner Ultan Moran has kindly offered to host the celebration of Suzi's life with Michael 'Mad Dog' (Mathieson), lead singer of Mad Dog Mcrea, interrupting the band's tour to perform in her honour."
Guy said that his mother was well known in Plymouth's licensed trade through the 1990s and added: "She was married to my dad, John Doyle, who worked for Westward Television and TSW.
