Smeaton's Tower lit up in a yellow glow

SMEATON'S Tower on the Hoe was due to be lit up in yellow last night, to support Marie Curie’s Lights to Remember service - an evening event designed to bring people together to reflect, remember, and celebrate the lives of lost loved ones.

The event, hosted by the end of life charity Marie Curie, took place at the Crowne Plaza on Armada Way. Running from 5pm to 6pm, it included live music from local band Edgy Legs, spoken-word tributes, poetry readings and guest speakers.
