SHOPFITTING by SWS B lead Division One after beating their C club-mates despite only having two players. Dan Kayes secured a maximum along with a brace from Colin Mitchell and the doubles.

- By RUSS KEITH

Molyneux Associates A (Tony Sweet 3, Paul Haigh 3) played their B club-mates and won 9-1, but it didn’t start well with John Steuart beating Garry Reed 3-11, 11-8, 11-8, 9-11, 11-8.

Reed then found himself two games down in his next match but recovered by winning the third end 12-10 and going on to win the set. All matches were of a very high standard with some outstanding points.

Johnny Hill, playing up for Shopfitting by SWS A, was outstanding in the teams’ 10-0 win over their D side and has the potential to be a very good player in the future. Rob Barnes was unlucky whilst playing Mike Briggs just losing out 9-11, 12-10, 10-12, 10-12.

With a 9-1 win over Shopfitting by SWS E, Crafthole A move up to second in the division. Les Cole saved the whitewash defeating Shirley Luckhurst 4-11, 11-3, 6-11, 11-8, 11-7.
