DEFENDER KEEN TO USE BREAK TO FIGURE OUT WHAT'S GOING WRONG

- By CHRIS ERRINGTON

ALEX Mitchell believes Plymouth Argyle’s 10-day break from action is a good opportunity for him and his teammates to reflect on their struggles this season and how they can turn the tide of their poor performances and results.

The Pilgrims suffered a sixth consecutive defeat in all competitions when they lost 1-0 away to Bristol Rovers in the Vertu Trophy on Tuesday night and do not have another game until their bottom-of-the-table League One clash at Port Vale next Saturday (November 22).

Mitchell, who is on loan from Championship club Charlton Athletic, thought there were at least some positives to take out of the cup tie against Rovers, especially given the fact they had only 10 players for virtually all of the match after defender Kornel Szucs was sent-off in the second minute.
