Randell rated '50-50' for huge clash with Hull
The Herald
|March 04, 2025
MIRON Muslic has admitted it is a 50-50 decision over whether midfielder Adam Randell be involved for Plymouth Argyle when they play away to Championship relegation rivals Hull City tonight.
Randell missed out on the Emirates FA Cup fifth round tie against Manchester City on Saturday after picking up a quadriceps injury during the 1-1 draw with Cardiff City at Home Park the previous weekend.
Muslic thought it was 'a very smart and wise decision' not to risk selecting Randell, even though it meant the 24-year-old could not captain his hometown club at the Etihad Stadium, with on-loan FC Zurich defender Nikola Katic the skipper instead.
Argyle are in 23rd position in the Championship, two places and three points below Hull, who did not have a fixture over the weekend so have not played since a 1-0 defeat at Cardiff last Tuesday.
Muslic said: "Adam is still a doubt. He picked up a minor quadriceps injury against Cardiff and was not able to train with us the first two or three days after the game.
