HARDIE PUTTING BODY ON THE LINE FOR PILGRIMS

- CHRIS ERRINGTON

RYAN Hardie showed once again his willingness to put his body on the line for Plymouth Argyle when he made his comeback from a back injury in the 3-0 defeat by Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday.

It was a desperately disappointing result and performance from the Pilgrims at Home Park and led to them returning to the bottom of the Championship with 10 games left to play this season after Derby County moved above them by winning 2-1 at home to Blackburn Rovers.

Hardie had struggled to even walk properly for much of the time after he suffered his back injury when Argyle were beaten 2-0 at Blackburn Rovers on February 15. However, after only a couple of sessions back on the training pitch, the 27-year-old was named as a substitute for the important match against Sheffield Wednesday.
