New £430k crossing opened

COT HILL PEDESTRIAN AND CYCLE CROSSING HAD BEEN DELAYED
PLYMOUTH'S new £430,000 pedestrian and cycle crossing is now open after work was delayed by torrential rain.
The Cot Hill crossing is near the Marshall Road junction in Plympton, and Plymouth City Council said it is now helping people cross the busy road.
They said it has created a safer walking and cycling route between Saltram Park and Plympton St Mary playing field.
Work began on the Cot Hill crossing in July and progressed well until it was slightly delayed by last week's downpours.
The scheme, funded by National Highways, includes a new dropped kerb crossing point on Marshall Road, a raised table crossing on Dudley Road and a wider, shared-use path on Cot Hill.
