RICKY STUBBERFIELD DENIES ALL CHARGES
A PLYMOUTH man on trial accused of a slew of rape and sexual assault allegations has taken to the witness box to give evidence in his defence.
Ricky Stubberfield, of Walnut Gardens, Plympton, was arrested on June 9 last year after inquiries over a number of complaints. The allegations came from eight women over an 11-year period.
Prosecutor Mary McCarthy, outlining the case, said it was alleged 31-year-old Stubberfield had forced himself sexually on the women and teens.
Ms McCarthy told the jury that none consented to the acts which were alleged. None of the alleged victims cannot be identified for legal reasons.
Stubberfield faces a total of 26 charges - nine counts of rape relating to one woman and one girl aged 16, ten counts of sexual assault against five women, including another female aged 16 at the time.
He also faces five counts of assault by penetration on three women, one count of indecent exposure and one count of making indecent images of a child. He denies all the charges.
