THE RUGGED INEOS GRENADIER IS SHOWING OFF AN IMPRESSIVE FACELIFT - AND IT STILL REMAINS ONE OF THE BEST OFF-ROADERS AROUND
-
BACK in 2022, the INEOS Grenadier was launched with the aim of plugging a gap for an old-school off-roader.
With the departure of the classic Land Rover Defender, it was the brainchild of INEOS owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe, built in the spirit of a traditional four-wheel-drive but with more modern touches. It still remains a core combatant in the heavyweight off-roader segment, with more to tempt you in 2026.
WHAT'S NEW?
The Grenadier has the same blocky design and you can still get it as a larger-than-life Quartermaster pickup truck. The headlights have been tweaked, and you can also get a stealthy Black Edition with a range of gloss-black elements across the exterior. That's in response to customer demands for a more urban look.
The steering is core to the changes. The recirculating ball setup was key to the Grenadier's design bringing - INEOS said - better control over rough surfaces. But it also meant the car felt a little wayward on the road, which is why new hydraulic assistance with variable ratio has been introduced.
WHAT'S UNDER THE BONNET?
