Late heartbreak strikes again as Parkway beaten
The Herald
|September 29, 2025
PLYMOUTH Parkway suffered yet more late heartbreak on the road as Yate Town snatched a stoppage-time winner to claim all three points at the South West Interiors Stadium.
The Bluebells, newly promoted to the Southern League Premier South, took advantage of a fragile Parkway side still struggling to see out matches. Defeat leaves Chris McPhee's men back in the relegation zone after ten games, capping a wretched week for the travelling Yellow Army.
For Parkway, it was a painful continuation of a damaging pattern. Just last Saturday they were pegged back by a stoppage-time equaliser at Berkhamsted, before surrendering a 2-1 lead to lose 3-2 at Wimborne. At Yate, the late curse struck again, Oli Jenkins pouncing deep into added time to condemn Parkway to a third straight away disappointment in seven days.
