A PLYMOUTH student died after taking ecstasy during a visit to Ashburton, an inquest has heard.
Ben McGirr, 22, was found dead at his brother's house in Westabrook in February 2023.
He died of the combined toxic effects of MDMA (ecstasy) and cocaine. The coroner recorded a drug-related death.
Ben, of Chestnut Road in Plymouth, was described as having a "heart of gold" and somebody who would help anyone and his death. A tribute said his death has "left a big hole" in the family.
