Hundreds of BT staff up in arms over relocation

FACING MOVE FROM EXETER TO PLYMOUTH
STAFF working for BT at its landmark Exeter building are 'furious' and 'devastated' after being told that they may need to commute to Plymouth, due to the substantial investment required to upgrade the Exeter premises.
The offices have been home to the telecoms giant for many years, having been constructed in the late 1970s. However, on March 19, employees were informed the Exeter building is no longer fit for purpose.
A consultation is underway to potentially relocate all staff to BT's 'state-of-the-art' Plymouth office, which already houses around 900 employees.
