HOME SIDE LET EARLY LEAD SLIP TO BE PIPPED IN LAST-HEAT DECIDER
PLYMOUTH Gladiators lost 42-47 to the Scunthorpe Scorpions in the Championship at the Coliseum on Saturday night.
The match went down to a last-heat decider, but despite a good effort from Alfie Bowtell he couldn’t prevent the Scorpions from securing a maximum and taking all the points.
The Gladiators had to contend with several team changes for this meeting. With Nicolai Klindt and Ben Barker unavailable, Premiership and Glasgow rider Kyle Howarth stepped in at number one. New signing Daniel Klima also made his English league debut after replacing Ben Trigger in the Gladiators' lineup earlier in the week.
