DEFENDER SEES LINCOLN LOAN SPELL HAMPERED BY INJURY
WAYNE Rooney has revealed Plymouth Argyle left-back Saxon Earley has had his loan spell at League One outfit Lincoln City hampered by a back injury.
Earley made just his second appearance for the Imps when he played for the first hour of their 2-1 Bristol Street Motors Trophy win away to Grimsby Town a fortnight ago but he was not in their matchday squad for their next game, the 3-1 home league defeat by table-topping Birmingham City on Saturday, or Tuesday's 3-0 defeat at Crawley Town.
The 22-year-old joined Lincoln on a season-long loan at the end of August looking to get regular game time after playing just twice for Argyle last term due to ankle ligament injuries.
