TV favourite bases the main character on his own cat
ACTOR Rob Brydon has been working on his first book for children, The Cat in the Cupboard, with illustrations by Ellie Snowdon.
The book is inspired by Rob's own family's ginger cat and the stories he invented for his children about Crumble as he slips through his cupboard cat flap and into a different garden adventure each time.
Crumble walks straight into a sticky situation when he comes face to face with his arch-nemesis: the formidable next-door neighbour.
