Face of a monster who preyed on women

A SERIAL Plymouth rapist guilty of multiple rapes and sex assaults has been jailed for 26 years.

Ricky Stubberfield, 31, of Walnut Gardens, Plympton, was sentenced at Crown Court yesterday, as powerful victim statements were read out condemning the depraved sex predator. Many told of the terrible impact Stubberfield’s offending had on the lives of the victims.

Judge Robert Linford jailed Stubberfield, who he considered to be dangerous, for 26 years. He must serve another six years on licence.

He will serve two thirds of his sentence before a parole board considers if he is safe to released. He has been put on the sex offender register for life.

Judge Linford told Stubberfield his behaviour “was utterly remorseless predation” adding that he “preyed on as many as crossed your path and within your reach”.
