CONCERTS' SEASON GETS FITTING OPENING
THERE could not have been a better start to Plymouth Concerts’ 2025-26 series in Stoke Damerel Church than Margaret Fingerhut's dazzling piano recital on Sunday, September 14.
She began with a group of three Chopin items: Three Mazurkas op.59, the Barcarolle op.60 and the Three Waltzes op.64. Her introductions offered a few odd insights into the music. Did you know the 'Minute' Waltz (never actually played in less than around two) may have been inspired by a dog chasing its tail?
