Community hub in school marks first anniversary

A COMMUNITY hub housed within a Plymouth secondary school has marked its first anniversary after a busy year tackling isolation, food poverty, and mental health support - all over a cuppa.
The Burrington Community Hub, based at All Saints Academy Plymouth, has shared its first impact report celebrating a year of building connections, with 3,224 participants engaging in its activities and services.
Since opening its doors, the hub has hosted arts and crafts sessions, support groups, and community meals. It has served more than 3,000 cups of tea or coffee, prepared over 500 meals, and supported 264 young people. The space has also hosted 333 hours of community activities and helped form 27 new partnerships with other organisations.
